A documentary film produced by Alison Maclean and sponsored by the Chinese Canadian Military Museum. Alison interviewed women of the Canadian Forces before deployment to Afghanistan and followed up by filming them in combat on location in June 2010. The term, “outside the wire” refers to being outside the protected environment of a base. A preview of the film was shown at our Society’s annual dinner in Fall 2010. The entire documentary was first aired on W Network Remembrance Day, 2010.
