Chee Yat Chang joined the Royal Canadian Air Force along with his brothers Gan and Gwong.

His service record shows that he signed up on June 18, 1942 and became a Leading Aircraftman – number R172216. Chee was stationed in Cape St. James, BC where he worked for the RCAF as a radio operator.

When the war ended, Chee was honourably released and transferred to the RCAF (Reserve) General Section Class “E” on November 23, 1945.

Chee lived a long life. He passed away June 12, 2015.
