Mary was born in Victoria, BC & is the sister of John, Peter & Andrew, who all served in the Canadian Army.

Jean was born iin Cranbrook, BC & recruited Sept 1942 in Calgary. She was trained in Toronto & worked in LaChine, PQ.

The former Hotel Vancouver at the corner of Georgia & Granville St. became an Army barrack from 1940 to 1940.
