Peter Lee was raised in Windsor, Ontario. He was one of three brothers from the same family that joined the war effort for Canada (Ben Lee<\/a> and Edward Lee<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Peter was posted to the 24th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery in England. He later became a chemical warfare instructor.<\/p>\n

Although Peter was promoted to the rank of Sargent, he later lost his rank due to fighting with other service men who mistreated him due to\u00a0the fact he was Chinese.<\/p>\n

After the war, all\u00a0three Lee brothers lived next door to each other in Windsor in double wide lots they had purchased with Veteran loans from the federal government.<\/p>\n

Peter died in Windsor in 1992 \u2013 the first of his brothers to pass away.<\/p>\n
