In July 1942, after a few months training at the No. 1 Bombing and Gunnery School, Lee was awarded his\u00a0wireless air gunner wings. He was 27 years old.<\/p>\n<p>In a <em>Globe and Mail<\/em>\u00a0newspaper article from July 12, 1943, Lee said &#8220;It has been swell in training. I have enjoyed it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2667\" style=\"width: 148px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2667\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-2667\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ccmms.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lee-Harvey-A-WAG-303x500.jpg\" alt=\"Harvey A.
