Peter Lee

Peter Lee was raised in Windsor, Ontario. He was one of three brothers from the same family that joined the war effort for Canada (Ben Lee and Edward Lee).

Peter was posted to the 24th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery in England. He later became a chemical warfare instructor.

Although Peter was promoted to the rank of Sargent, he later lost his rank due to fighting with other service men who mistreated him due to the fact he was Chinese.

After the war, all three Lee brothers lived next door to each other in Windsor in double wide lots they had purchased with Veteran loans from the federal government.

Peter died in Windsor in 1992 – the first of his brothers to pass away.
